Greeting from our Chairman

Dear Esteemed Members of the ISCCJ,

I am honored to announce that following our General Meeting on December 12th 2025, I have been re-elected to serve another two-year term as Chairman of the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in Japan. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued trust; it is a privilege to lead this vibrant community as we enter this next chapter.

The ISCCJ remains the cornerstone of the commercial bridge between Iceland and Japan. My primary focus for this term is to accelerate the momentum we have built, not only by supporting the establishment of new business ventures but by deepening the strategic value we provide to our existing members.

Under my leadership, the Board is committed to:

• Advocacy & Influence: Driving high-level discussions with Ministers, parliamentarians, and government officials to ensure our members' interests are represented at the highest levels.
• Strategic Partnerships: Strengthening our synergy with the Nordic Chambers, the European Business Council (EBC), and other international Chambers of Commerce to expand our collective reach.
• Business Connectivity: Enhancing our engagement with both the Japanese and the Icelandic business community to unlock new opportunities for innovation and trade.

The strength of the ISCCJ lies in its members. I am eager to collaborate with our long-standing partners and extend a warm welcome to the new companies joining us. Together, we will continue to elevate the economic and cultural bonds between our two nations.

2025年12月12日に開催された総会におきまして、わたくしアルナ・トール・イェンソンが、引き続き今後2年間の会頭職に再任されましたことを謹んでご報告申し上げます。皆様からの変わらぬご信任に対し、心より感謝申し上げます。この活気あるコミュニティを次なる章へと導く機会をいただいたことを、大変光栄に存じます。

ISCCJは、アイスランドと日本を結ぶビジネスの架け橋として、今後も揺るぎない礎であり続けます。今任期における私の最大の使命は、これまでに築き上げた勢いをさらに加速させることです。新規ビジネスの立ち上げ支援はもちろん、既存会員の皆様に提供する戦略的価値をさらに深化させていく所存です。

私のリーダーシップのもと、役員会は以下の重点課題に取り組んでまいります。

• アドボカシーと影響力の強化： 閣僚、国会議員、政府関係者とのハイレベルな対話を促進し、会員の皆様の利益が最優先で反映される環境を整えます。
• 戦略的パートナーシップ： 在日北欧商工会議所、欧州ビジネス評議会（EBC）、およびその他の外国商工会議所との相乗効果を高め、我々のネットワークをさらに拡大します。
• ビジネス・コネクティビティ： 日本およびアイスランド両国の経済界とのエンゲージメントを強化し、イノベーションと貿易の新たな機会を創出します。

ISCCJの強みは、会員の皆様お一人おひとりにあります。長年支えてくださっているパートナーの皆様との連携を深めることはもちろん、新たに加わる企業や個人の皆様を心より歓迎いたします。一丸となって、両国間の経済・文化的な絆をさらなる高みへと引き上げていきましょう。
